Will Draw For Donations
Hello! Kat (
@SubtleLikeBrick) here, with another hare-brained scheme from my sleep-deprived brain.
I’ve been drawing goofy pictures of various hockey players for a couple of months now and posting them to my Twitter account. People seemed to be receptive to them, so I thought – why not use my powers for good instead of for evil? You donate money to Hockey Fights Cancer, I draw you a sketch of your favorite hockey player. Simple as that!
So, here’s what you do:
• Donate at least $10 to Hockey Fights Cancer. I’d prefer it if you did this online (here or on Facebook), since this automatically generates a receipt, but I’ve taken all sorts of photo proof, as well.• Forward proof of donation to katharinaDOTdawn AT gmailDOTcom.• Tell me whom you’d like me to draw.• Sit back and wait for the magic to happen – which might take a little while. See, uh, when I started this, I thought I’d get a couple of people here and there donating… but now I’m up to 24 sketches, with only one done so far. Clearly, I underestimated hockey fandom. I promise never to underestimate you all again for the sake of my wrist.• If you give me your address, I’ll even send the sketch to you if you want it.
I’ve already completed the first sketch – Zach Parise, for
@streamertyer. (See the Twitpic here: http://twitpic.com/ny86p)
Oh yeah. That’s the kind of quality (or lack thereof, depending on who you ask) you’re going to get for ten bucks, folks.
And now, a couple of FAQ’s:
If I buy a t-shirt / raffle ticket / etc., can that count toward my sketch?YES! As long as you donate at least $10 and send me proof of this, it absolutely counts toward a sketch.
If I donate more than $10, can I get more than one sketch?YES! Every donation of $10 entitles you to one sketch, so $20 would mean you would receive two sketches, $30, three sketches, etc.
Are you completely out of your mind?YES! Absolutely!
So, if you’ve made it here, and you’re STILL interested in a sketch, please donate and email me today!
